Evidence-Based Innovation & Renovation

Combine traditional product testing with behavioral, and neuroscientific measurements like implicit association testing, so you can understand what people experience, what drives preference, and what fosters brand loyalty.

THE PROBLEM

Concept Tests That Pass, Products That Flop.

Every category has a product graveyard filled with products that tested above benchmark, launched on schedule, and disappeared within 18 months. The post-mortem always reveals the same thing: survey-stated preference didn't predict shelf or site performance.

WHAT YOU CAN RUN

Pre-launch validation that actually predicts.

Blend validated traditional survey techniques with implicit testing, eye-tracking and facial expression analysis for truly holistic insights. Supported by seasoned research professionals and a flexible self-service (DIY) platform, RIWI empowers researchers to deploy advanced behavioral methodologies with scientific rigor – accelerating evidence-based innovation while maintaining high standards of data quality, reproducibility, and analytical depth.

01 / 06

Concept testing

Multiple concepts evaluated head-to-head. Implicit reaction time, choice mechanics, emotional response.

02 / 06

Feature prioritization

MaxDiff, conjoint, choice-based. Which features earn purchase intent versus which earn stated interest.

03 / 06

Idea screening

Early-stage idea evaluation. Survey + implicit on raw concepts before you spend on prototyping.

04 / 06

Pricing research

Van Westendorp, Gabor-Granger, choice-based pricing. Including Bertolli-pattern: when packaging looks like the answer but pricing is.

05 / 06

Naming & positioning

Brand-name testing, positioning statement evaluation. Implicit measurement reveals which names are sticky.

06 / 06

Pre-launch tracking

Continuous tracker leading up to launch — concept evolution, message refinement, audience readiness.

THE BERTOLLI CASE

Sometimes The Answer Isn't Obvious.

Bertolli tested a new bottle and surveys said that consumers preferred it. RIWI's behavioural data told a different story. Visual recognition collapsed for the new design, revealing that the real issue wasn't the bottle at all. A small pricing adjustment was the lever the team had been missing.

Without behavioural measurement layered on top of stated preference, team Bertolli would have committed to a redesign and invested in a pivot that hurt sales.

This is what product research on the RIWI platform looks like: the answer isn't always where the brief points.
